Solid State Relay - 8 Channel - (High level trigger)

Solid State Relay - 8 Channel - (High level trigger)

Regular price R 200.00

With these, you can use a 5V signal from a microcontroller to switch up to 8 channels of 230VAC / 2A. Each channel can be controlled separately.

"High Level Trigger" - For switching AC currents.

Uses 8 high quality Japanese SSR modules, Omron G3MB-202P.

Has convenient screw-in and header connection options.

Solid State Relays are an efficient and simple way to switch on and off an AC circuit, by sending a 0-5V command signal.

This is a transistor-based switching technology, so there are no moving parts.  Optocoupling keeps input and output circuits isolated from each other.

The maximum capacity of the switched circuit is up to 250V 2A.  They can't handle as much load as the mechanical relays, but they use less current to keep the circuit closed.

The module has both ribbon-cable connection, and screw-fastened connection options.

How to use:

On the DC side: Connect your microcontroller's 5V+ and GND to the DC+ and DC-, and connect your data line into the channel to control.

On the AC side, be careful: after unplugging the AC, cut the neutral (blue) wire, and have it pass in and out of that channel's relay screw-connectors.

The 'high' input from your microcontroller will then turn on the AC circuit.
