We occasionally have prototype sales. Perfectly good, functional lights at unbeatable prices. They might be cosmetically a bit rough around the edges, or we might not be making more of them.
This grow light consists of:
14 x Samsung LC080D Gen 2 COBs (11815lm @ 140lm/W @ 2700K each)
14 x 110° glass lenses
14 x SUNON Maglev fans
On a 96% efficient SOSEN 720W driver, and Mean Well 40W 12V driver for fans. (Approximately 18W of fans keep the fixture cool to the touch)
Dimmable down to zero.
It is intended for flowering in a 1.2x1.2m tent. 2700K is a red-heavy spectrum with some tail into the infrared wavelengths, so it is pretty much only good for flowering. You could veg with it, but you would get very stretchy plants.
This is a prototype because:
We have had these 110 degree lenses for a long time, and haven't used them. Decided to make use of them, finally.
These Samsung COBs are a generation behind, so about 8% less efficient than the latest Luminus or Bridgelux COBs. They have decent efficiency for 2700K though.
The light is absurdly intense on full blast, with 1500+ PPFD readings over the footprint at 1m distance.
